We had a lovely stay at Gambledown Farm in one of the safari tents. Beautiful setting, a well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and a great shower. The pizzas on Saturday night were also delicious! The only negative was a slightly onerous check out process having to strip all the beds and towels and lug them up to the main barn in a wheelbarrow along with the rubbish, plus sweeping out the log burner and floor as requested. It’s fine if check out is between 11 and 12 not 930-10 (with a pretty late 4pm check in) but a bit of a mission otherwise, especially with kids! For nearly £500 for a two night stay I think it either needs to be a later check out, or less cleaning.

Just had a lovely few days visiting gambledown. The accommodation is really high end and the setting is beautiful. We stayed in the glamping tents as a family of 5 and the kids absolutely loved it. Beds were comfortable with plenty of bedding and towels provided. The wood burner kept us warm in the evenings. Great cooking facilities. Small play park for the kids kept them entertained plus plenty of space to kick a ball around. Staff were all very friendly, welcoming and helpful. We’d definitely recommend and return. The only negatives were the shower didn’t stay hot despite not having anything else running at the same time so I’m guessing it’s a shared tank with other tents. Not the end of the world but made showering young dramatic children quite difficult. We went to collect eggs from the chickens as advertised but there weren’t any, but I suppose when there’s other guests you can’t control how many are already taken. And finally, we wanted to bbq one evening but found that all the meat in the honesty shop was in the freezer rather than the fridge so had to take a trip to the supermarket instead. All only minor things and wouldn’t prevent us from returning - just our honest feedback!
Absolutely loved this place, we had a multigenerational family get together in the glamping tents. Cant recommend them or the space enough. Lovely farm setting and pizza night and bbq all worked out fabulously for all ages. The team there made us feel super welcome and all the gear (with the tents ) was quality well worth the money. The fresh local produce is a must.
I recently hosted a 2 night residential retreat at Gambledown Farm & came away wishing I could have stayed longer.
Wonderful accommodation - I love that each bedroom has a dedicated bathroom, great Event Space, super-well equipped kitchens & a great sauna/ice-plunge experience with Rob.
Already planning to return next year!

We've now visited Gambledown three times in the past three years, and each stay has been just as special as the last. This was our first time staying in the barns, and we also had the opportunity to celebrate our 40th birthday in the Events Barn and on the lawn – it was the perfect setting for such a memorable occasion.
The location is simply incredible, peaceful, beautifully maintained, and ideal for relaxing with family and friends. Everything is thoughtfully designed, making every visit feel unique while still feeling like coming home.
We had a wonderful time and are already looking forward to our next visit. We can't wait to experience the safari tents and cosy evenings around the wood burners. Gambledown has become a place we return to year after year, and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a truly special getaway.
