  A pretty location with ample car parking nearby, it's a pity their service is abysmal when they're busy. I accept that at busy times it takes a while to prepare food and deliver it to the tables, but it was far far too slow today. Is their kitchen area large enough to cope with the number of covers they are set up with?

  Went for lunch on an extremely hot day. Received a very warm friendly welcome. Despite the heat, service was impeccable. Beautiful location and comfortable environment. Food was good. Had the bacon cheese burger. Fries were great. Thank you for a lovely lunch.

  What a wonderful place! My partner and I went (booking is highly recommended as it gets busy!) and we had a lovely experience. The food was beautifully presented and tasted amazing. We had the ploughman’s and cheese and bacon burger. Although it was busy there was no wait on food. The staff were all really friendly and very helpful. We can’t wait to come back to try the BBQ breakfast! Thank you to the salt shack team.

  We arrived at 10:50 (sunday) for breakfast, well within the advertised serving time of 11:15. Unfortunately, we were told the kitchen was already closed, which was very disappointing, especially as we had travelled from Reading. The staff appeared quite dismissive and unwelcoming, which added to the poor experience. The food looked goos on other people’s plate but the service today left us feeling let down.
