I can’t recommend Dunlop Plumbing enough, they always have provided me with great boiler service and plumbing jobs. Just had a burst pipe and they promptly came out and fixed it, really courteous and tidy. I’m really grateful for their consistently excellent services.

They overcharged for the work carried out. After challenging the invoice, they reduced it slightly, but the final amount was still nearly double what it should have been.
Charging by the hour while working at the slowest pace imaginable is not being “very conscientious”.

Excellent professional company. Tried to resolve my boiler issues, various ways . I had a new boiler installed, very professional tidy work . Offering after care to check everything was ok and working. Throughly recommended 100% satisfactory from start to finish.

I had an issue with my boiler. Asked them to replace the bottom element as I thought it may resolve the problem, my diagnosis of the original issue happened to be incorrect as I found out later. The company charged me premium (£680) for sending an average experienced, young technician who was instructed to replace element, removing some lime scale from the tank and he came back a few days later to swap thermostats to test bottom element. He spent significant amount of time on calls, receiving guidance what to do(time I was charged for).
Imagine now that you got to the doctor and tell them what you think they should do, and doctor does that blindly without actually applying his knowledge to evaluate what you are asking them... You wouldn't be happy would you?
That's why it was very surprising that the company didn't put any effort into investigating that replacing the element actually makes any sense. They literally assumed that I must be some kind of boiler expert who knows what he is talking about. They didn't even test the original element before replacing it. To me it looked like they went for easy labour rather than actually trying to resolve the original issue. Yes, they did the job I asked them to do but I don't think that's the level of service most customers expect when they pay premium. In my opinion, "Professional repair" should include diagnosis not just following blind suggestion from the customer. Customers usually have no clue how these appliances work and they expect a service provider to educate them and advice on possible solutions. I am pretty sure if they would put any effort into any kind of investigation/testing they would find out that my diagnosis was incorrect and perhaps they would give their own. It's safe to assume that technicians who charge premium rates should have knowledge of these appliances, and they should know that it makes really no sense to replace bottom element in situation I describe to the technician.
From the customer perspective I paid £680 for almost no gain on my side.... Extremally overpriced service.
Oh, forgot... they gave me £20 discount and made free call to actual appliance manufacturer and didn't charge me for that, hence 2 stars instead of 1. Obviously will never use them again.
Outside tap and seized isolator valve replaced.
Came out same day, quick, efficient, clean and friendly.
Faultless service - Will definitely use again.
