  I purchased a Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+ from CeX in March 2026 as a gift for my 3-year-old son. Around four months later, the tablet suddenly stopped working for no apparent reason. The tablet had always been kept in a thick rubber children's protective case with a tempered-glass screen protector. Following advice regarding the warranty, I handed the tablet to this CeX store on Sunday, 16 August for assessment and testing. At the time, the only physical issue identified and discussed was existing damage around the charging port. I fully acknowledge that this was already present. However, when I collected the tablet today, I was shocked and extremely disappointed by its condition. There was now significant damage on a completely different side of the tablet, particularly around the three gold contact points, including cracking/chipping, heavy abrasion and scratches. More concerningly, the tablet/frame was visibly bent. There were also additional marks and chips elsewhere on the device that I had not observed before handing it over. To be absolutely clear, I am not blaming CeX for the pre-existing charging-port damage. My concern is the separate additional damage and bending that I discovered when the tablet was returned to me. I have taken detailed photographs of the condition in which the tablet was returned and have now submitted a formal complaint requesting that CeX to investigate what happened while the device was in their possession. I brought the tablet back to CeX in good faith to make use of the warranty on a device purchased only a few months earlier. I certainly did not expect to collect it with additional physical damage. Extremely disappointing and concerning experience.

  Wouldn't ever try and sell anything to them unless it is on a dvd/Blu-ray as they will reject it if it appears to have the smallest something wrong, even if it doesn't. A quick check online shows it to be manufactured that way to fit and was not a defect. Taking my business elsewhere. Complete lack of knowledge or initiative to find out.

  It was amazing, I was trying to upgrade my pc and I was struggling to find a gpu and then I walk into CeX and they gave me exactly what I was looking for, the service is great and they actually know what they’re talking about.
