  In a joint project with our neighbours to restore the original 180-year-old Penrhyn slate roof on the front of our houses, which are located in a designated Conservation Area. After getting several expensive quotes from other companies, E. Roberts and Co suggested a brilliant, sustainable, and cost-effective alternative: salvaging and reusing our original heritage slate. They carefully dismantled the roof and sorted through the slates to save as many as possible. Since my neighbour was also replacing a side roof section at the same time, E. Roberts and Co resourcefully used the slate from that area to fill any gaps on the front. This saved us from having to buy expensive matching materials. Once the structural timber was exposed, they tackled a major insulation challenge. Because my property doesn't have an internal roof void, normal internal insulation wasn't an option. Instead, they expertly insulated from the outside using Ecotherm board and rock wool, before installing a modern waterproof membrane and battens. As the renovation was in a Conservation Area it called for strict historical accuracy. The original, heavy barge stones on the gable end and dormer had to be taken down. While leaving them off would have been the easy way out, the team painstakingly re-fitted them using secure, modern steel brackets to keep the building's original character. The result is a fantastic mix of heritage preservation and modern performance. We now have a fully insulated, properly ventilated roof that keeps its beautiful, historically accurate, weathered look. The craftsmanship from E. Roberts and Co was excellent. I would highly recommend their services and would definitely use them again.

  Erfyl and his team did a great job installing a epdm roof on my garage and installing new fascias , soffits and guttering. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.

  Did a fantastic job re-rendering our chimney when others either quoted ridiculous amounts or didn't want to do it. Looks amazing (well as amazing as a chimney can look). After the chimney, the flat roof on our dormer was replaced and again looks really good with a full guarantee and tested several times by the Welsh weather straight after installation! The job was completed in a day to a very high standard. I'd definitely recommend for any roofing needs and am happy to do so as they are reasonably priced, honest and do a solid job. We initially contacted them based on recommendation ourselves so happy to now do so myself.

  These guys did a great job upgrading our roof. They replaced and repaired all necessary bits of the timber work then installed new membrane . On the front they reused the best of the existing slates which has kept the original look of the cottage which we are very happy with. Ventilation has also been introduced between the roof/ insulation void and work has been carried out the satisfy out building control inspector.
