We had a quote provided by David, the pleasure of which cost £150. The quote incorporated a remedy for 'Rising Damp' - it transpires this was not actually the cause of the damp at all (sadly, we found this out AFTER having a damp proof course injected into our walls for £555...I was told the original inspection cost would also be deducted from any works completed which was not the case, I had to go back and actually request this be deducted from our invoice!). The issue had been a crack in our underfloor damp proof course, which thankfully part of Cavilocks suggested remedy (by chance), would actually fix (the chemical injections, however, had been a complete waste of time and money). Following this part of the works being completed by our contractor (granted, incorrectly), we went back to David to request that works be completed by Cavilock themselves, as per the instructions they provided to our contractor. Sadly, despite 3 phone calls and 2 text messages, we have still heard nothing back. We have now engaged with another company who will be completing the remedy works, hopefully this time we can actually remedy the issue. It's just so disappointing that companies seem to feel comfortable with 'ghosting' customers, and not even having the common decency to respond to messages or return calls. I would not use Cavilock again, nor recommend their services sadly, our experience has been very negative.
