  I would highly recommend George McAlpine & Sons. Steven McAlpine arranged for the motor on our electric fire to be repaired, and the service we received was excellent from start to finish. Communication was clear and prompt, and everything was handled very professionally. It is refreshing to deal with someone who is reliable, helpful and genuinely went above and beyond to ensure the fire was repaired. Thanks again to Steven and the team at George McAlpine for an excellent service

  Extremely helpful staff offering guidance, fireplace was fitted perfectly - no mess, clean and professional finish. Just had our first annual service, absolutely no issues. Highly recommend!

  Fantastic service right from first walking into the shop. Unable to complete the job on the first day because of a hitch, they had FIVE guys on the case first thing next morning, THIRTY miles from the showroom! Job done. Brilliant.

  Great service at a great price sums up George McAlpine. We used them years ago to instal a living flame fire in our dining room. When we embarked on a major redecoration of one of our front rooms recently we didn't hesitate to go back. As soon as we got the the showroom we were well looked after and our questions answered. Our existing fire and surround was examined the next and a very reasonable quote received that day by email as well. We were then given a date for the removal of the old fire and the making of a template etc and another date for the installation. In each case we were advised in advance of the time of arrival. In both cases the men turned up on time. The removal and making of the template took a couple of hours. The installation, including building up new bricks and chimney lining, took one day. The men were very friendly and extremely competent in carrying out the work and also met the promised time schedules. They removed the old fire and all debris and left the place very tidy. Can't recommend George McAlpine enough. Will certainly use them again.
