Very, very disappointed with Apple Glasgow.
I honestly don’t understand what Apple’s warranty is supposed to cover anymore.
My first experience was when I bought an original iPhone cable from this store for around £19–£20. The very next day, it stopped working. I took it back expecting a straightforward replacement, but I was told they couldn’t replace it because it “might have sparked.” There were no visible burn or sparking marks on the cable. I was told that if the cable was damaged at the end, it could be replaced, but not in this situation. I ended up leaving the store with a practically brand-new £20 cable that was useless.
Today, 8 August, I went back to the same Apple Glasgow store with another cable. I bought an iPhone 17 Pro Max for my son from Apple in March, and this cable has now become damaged at the end and stopped working. Remembering what I was told previously, I thought this should qualify for a replacement. But again, they refused and simply offered me the option of buying another new cable.
So I genuinely have to ask: what exactly does the warranty cover?
The first time I was told a cable damaged at the end could be replaced. Now I bring in a cable damaged at the end and I’m still refused. These are genuine Apple accessories, and customers pay a premium because they expect a certain level of quality and after-sales service.
Very disappointing experience, especially from a company like Apple. I wasn’t asking for anything unreasonable just a clear and consistent warranty policy and a fair solution for a faulty product.

I went to the store to try a new strap for my Apple Watch. I was looking to try the metal strap, and I asked one of the employees if I could try it. The employee was forcing the metal strap onto my watch, but it wasn’t fitting, so she asked another employee if she could do it. She was even worse; she took my watch, tried to force it in again, and ended up scratching both sides of the sliding part where the straps connect to the watch. Then she is still trying to connect it, but it obviously doesn’t fit. Then she puts it on the wooden table instead of the mat where you're supposed to, so you can prevent scratches. Then she drags it along the table, still trying with lots of power, but then I couldn’t watch anymore, and I had to step in and say I don’t want it anymore. I was coming into the store looking to buy a strap, and I left with a scratched watch. I’m really upset that my watch was scratched. Not happy

I visited the Apple Store to try on a specific Apple Watch with a particular band before ordering it online. I explained to the sales assistant that I wasn’t buying it that day because I didn’t have the money with me and that I would place the order online later, as I live far from Glasgow.
The moment I said I would be ordering online instead of buying in the store, his attitude completely changed. He immediately lost interest in helping me, and it felt like I was no longer worth his time because I wasn’t making a purchase on the spot.
It was disappointing to experience this. 🗿Good customer service should be the same for every potential customer, regardless of whether they buy in the store or online.

Myself and my husband attended the store yesterday originally to buy a new phone for myself. It was very busy and we had to wait a while for an assistant but everything was explained regarding the new I phone 17 so much so that my husband and I ended up purchasing one each. There was a glitch regarding finance but Keir was very helpful and sorted everything out. We had booked for a meal and he said no problem come back after and someone would help with set up.
Keir’s attitude and manner impressed 5 stars for him.
