  Roy Terry installed a new multi fuel stove in our home. Excellent from start to finish, both price and installation. Aftersales also excellent, cannot recommend enough. Thanks so much.

  Lloyd and his team recently installed a new fire, hearth and floating mantlepiece. He and his team were professional and polite and did a really good job of cleaning up afterwards. Before leaving, Lloyd explained everything regarding use, maintenance and safety of the appliance. The new fireplace looks amazing and we would have no hesitation in recommending Roy Terry Fireplaces.

  The gentleman turned up to measure up the job for installation. We have a very old home that is about 15ft taller than more modern homes. Instead of using his knowledge of the industry to tell us what he needs do the job, he just brought up things he wasnt happy about. He wasnt at all cooperative with my lead builder. The changes he suggested that we legally applicable were noted and have been amended. But many of the regulations mentioned are inaccurate when we the gent that we can supply what he needs (scaffolding) to do the job, he told us he didnt want to do the job! Thus, us not buying the burner from this company. The in house staff were lovely but ive never seen an engineer complain about a job be is paid to do and then decline the job wasting our time and costing Roy Terry a £3000 purchase and service. Dont offer services that staff cant cope doing !!! For the record we called an independant who looked at the job. Signed off the amendments made, took the job offering us the same burner and installation for £500

  The person who came out for the survey I felt was rude and that he didn’t want the work nor be there (wanting to get gone). Making up loads of things why it couldn’t be done and not what we could do to ensure the log burner could be fitted. Maybe it wasn’t a nice job to do ( access on the roof maybe), maybe he was having a bad day, maybe he has bad people skill, we don’t know but we know he wasn’t professional at all. For example say a cherry picker would struggle for access to get on the roof. Then we mention we would get scaffold up. He quickly moved onto something else. He mention in a sarcastic way that I should read up on the regulations. So I have read the regulations for installing a log burner and half the stuff he mention wasn’t on there. Let alone this sheet of material he said we could use that was a £1000 per sheet. Really couldn’t find that for that price, plus there are alternatives material that could be used according to the regulations.

  Lloyd and Justine were extremely helpful when we went to their showroom in Tiptree as we didn’t know what we wanted and they were on hand to provide a wealth of knowledge on all options, without pushing for a sale. We eventually chose the fire and the surrounding that we wanted and could not be happier with our purchase. Lloyd and Marshall arrived promptly on installation day and could not have been tidier or more considerate of our home. We would not hesitate to recommend them and their services.
