  Colin is a fantastic craftsman, whose work is first-rate, and whose pricing is transparent and reasonable. Colin takes time to get to know his clients, and to understand the meaning their books have in their lives. Colin is a true bibliophile and his philosophy of why books matter and how their very presence in a home can spark a life-long joy of reading, learning, and thinking is both delightful and clearly manifests itself in his work and his approach. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

  I am so glad I found Colin to restore two books that are very special to me. On meeting him I was instantly comfortable to leave my precious books with him and I was happy with his price. He finished before the date stated and he did a first class job!! Brilliant.

  An excellent service and Colin is very straight forward to deal with. A book binder is a difficult craft to find within the locality and I would have no hesitation in using again in the future or recommending to others.

  Searched for 2 years to find someone willing to restore an old Chinese paper scroll I inherited from my grandfather. It was frail and disintegrating. Colin did a fantastically intricate job, steadying up the piece with quality matching materials. His wife Zoe then did an extraordinary job box-framing the entire scroll, again using exactly the right materials to not overwhelm the piece. I now have a beautifully restored piece art that will last for generations. Very happy....
