I received the wrong item from an online order (8GB RAM instead of 16GB) and visited the store to resolve it quickly. Instead of offering a solution, I was only told I could get a refund. No one initially offered a replacement. Only after I showed an email from customer service, staff mentioned it was possible – but would take longer than ordering again myself. Completely pointless. There were multiple staff members in the store, including managers, but none showed any real interest in helping. They seemed more focused on chatting and eating chocolate biscuts than dealing with customers. As a result, I lost time, missed my planned use of the item, and ended up back at square one. Very poor customer service and lack of accountability.

The disappointment came later when I was on the website and I notice the faulty item was pust straight back on sale (there is only one available in whole company and its available for click and collect at Romford). Is this something CEX endorse, knowingly selling faulty products???

I took the product back to the store, where they said they had to test it and told me to come back after an hour. I queued three separate times, and they never even tested the product. After two hours, they finally issued a refund voucher instead of a proper refund. Ridiculous customer service and not a single apology. Make sure you test anything you buy on the spot.
