  Bought a second-hand iPad from CeX on 1st March less than 4 months ago using savings from my 4-year-old child as he wanted one. The iPad has serious battery issues — it takes a very long time to charge (often overnight even with a fast charger) and the battery drops very quickly and inconsistently during use (for example from around 80% to 20% in a short time). I returned it and was told it “passed checks,” but the problem is still ongoing. When I collected it, my receipt (proof of warranty) was not handed back and I had to ask for it. Would completely avoid this store wish I had read more reviews about it before purchasing as there is multiple 1 star reviews. Disappointing experience overall as I expected a working device or proper resolution under warranty especially that the warranty is 5 years😂

  I would not recommend going to this place at all. I traveled over an hour to get there to purchase a PlayStation game, as it was the only CEX relatively near me that had it. However when I was buying the game the girl at the counter clearly could tell the disc was badly scratched, she not only made sure to mention they provided a 5 year warranty but also tried cleaning it to “make it look better” and when I tried it later that day, my PlayStation couldn’t even read it. I understand mistakes can & do happen but this was something that should have been checked prior to anyone purchasing it. Additionally a close friend of mine recently traveled over an hour to the same CEX to purchase an Elgato capture card that they’re website marked as being in stock, only to get there, pay for it at the counter & then they tell him they don’t have it. They couldn’t refund him either so instead they sent out the capture card a week later without the necessary cable to make it work. Completely ridiculous.

  Cheap, amazing stuff and very kind and welcoming staff that actually help you find a good game. A Must go.

  Think your staff need more training, took my phone in they said they couldn't buy it as it was locked to the 3 network come home and try a EE & Tesco (02) sim both work fine. Dont appreciate being lied to !!
