  Westcountry Funeral Services were recommended to us and they didn't disappoint. They looked after our son from day one. They went above and beyond our expectations and gave him the care, dignity and compassion he deserved. Nothing was too much trouble, they are a very special team of people - kind , caring empathetic and professional. They supported our family through this difficult time and I have no hesitation in recommending them or using their serives in the future.   I would like to express my sincere thanks to Leah and the team at Westcountry Funeral Services for the care, thoughtfulness and attention to detail shown consistently throughout the difficult time of our mum's death. From the moment we first made contact, Leah shone through as a gentle, patient guiding light. Everything was done with thought, kindness and consideration - throughout. Our questions were answered, our worries calmed and a stressful time was made manageable. From the start, Leah quickly built a connection with us and helped us to plan and arrange a funeral that was so fitting for our mum. We felt, that throughout the whole process, our mum was cared for with gentleness and dignity. Nothing was ever hurried or too much trouble. The care, respect and thoughtfulness shown by Leah and the team on the day of the funeral were outstanding. We deeply appreciate the help and support that has taken the weight and worry away from a sad and stressful situation. Thank you!

  If this review was for the Staff at the Elburton branch then it would be 5* but it's not it's about the owner's. We dealt with a wonderful lady called Leah, she was a rock to us throughout, she cares as much for the living as she does for the deceased. We were hounded for Money by the owner on a Saturday morning saying they had paid the money to the crematorium etc which they shouldn't and are now being chased by their accountant! On the day before our dear Mum's cremation Leah rang us in tears,ours was to be her last service before she left the company but something had gone off and WCFS didn't trust her to turn up on the day so they were going to get some one else to replace her. We had to ring WCFS to find out what was happening,they didn't ring us. Luckily Leah was there for us on the day,out of her own good will. Then 2 weeks later we had to ring WCFS to find out where our Mum's ashes were. They hadn't been collected as they hadn't been to Glynn Valley since the cremation!
