Booked a battery repair for 2:30pm, made a trip specifically for this only to be told all their repair slots were full so they couldn’t do anything. This was completely foreseeable, they shouldn’t have made the appointment, or let me know before I travelled. Waste of a day.

Bought an Apple Watch series 12 at the weekend 19/9/26 was going to buy the titanium 46 mm, the sales “expert” was also showing the aluminium 46mm. I asked for more detail and was told the only difference is the casing nothing else. If you were to scratch the glass on the aluminium, you also scratch the glass and the titanium. This was not true but at the time didn’t know this and trusted who was serving me. I went with the aluminium. I work in education and so we asked about the discount Apple offers for this. Whereby we were told no that’s only in accessories not the product. Again, later found out this wasn’t correct. This person didn’t know the product or apple’s policy. How they got the job I don’t know. I’ve called Apple who said I can return the watch and reorder it for the discount. Which is a massive hassle. As I already have the watch. I’ve tried calling the store to complain about the misinformation but it just rings, no answer and cuts you off. You can’t leave a message. I’ve emailed, again, no response. There’s clearly a training need here. The person serving us was friendly and didn’t rush us, just didn’t know the product. Would I have got the other watch at the time maybe not. But should have been given all the facts for me to make an informed choice.

What a horrible experience today. Tuesday 22.9.26. Never again will I use that store. Virtual “bouncers on the door” asking why you’re there. I had 2 reasons for my near 40 mile round trip. (Me, naively thinking a Tuesday mid afternoon would be quite quite.) Rude unhelpful staff upstairs in particular, downstairs a little bit friendlier. My crime, tried to buy a phone, and discuss an Apple TV that had stopped working. No one interested unless I have an appointment!
