  I stopped by this afternoon to pick up two Family Guy DVDs that I'd seen were in stock online; although it was only a very quick visit, I wanted to leave a positive review as I was pleasantly surprised at how much improvement they'd been in the store compared to when I visited a few years back. The upstairs Film & TV section is massive and has an impressive selection of films, cartoons & shows which are all reasonably priced, many being as low as just £1. It's still by far the best range out of all the stores I've visited. It was well organised and I was able to quickly find the DVDs that I'd come for, it was also very clean, a comfortable temperature (last time I thought it was quite cold) and smelt fresh, you can tell the store is well kept as downstairs looked just as good. I liked how spacious the DVD area was as some stores are quite cramped, it felt a lot more accessible and comfortable to browse in; there's also music playing upstairs too so you're not in an uncomfortable silence, however it's not overwhelmingly loud and instead a chilled atmosphere. There was three members of staff behind the checkout, no queue and I was swiftly served by a polite, friendly guy, I think the only negative that I could give was that for some reason, all of the copies of Family Guy Season 6 had reprinted, 'fake' covers. It didn't look bad or put me off buying but I thought it was a bit strange, especially as I'm sure this was the only DVD title I saw that had reprinted covers. Overall, I had a great experience and I'll definitely be returning in the future as I really like this store 😊

  Unfortunately, I was assisted by a lady who had no smile on their face and quite a rude attitude today. It seems to happen more and more frequently and isn't very nice for customers who are just looking for a smooth and straight forward experience. I would strongly recommend some customer service training as there is just no need for it and the job role is centred around customer service but this person didn't seem to have that skill. At least smile like I did!

  This CeX is one of the best you can go to but they have never got enough PlayStation 3 games in the accused are always long not enough staff Behind the Counter too much talking behind the counter put love going in for my retro games memories PlayStation 3 PlayStation 2 but just need more Playstation 3 games in there they've never got any football games I know their old now but still can make a little bit out of them I think the one in Nottingham is a lot bigger but still love going in here my DVDs and games

  This review if for this store in particular, I went to return an item to this store, I bought it from a little CEX store round the corner and I was told when I bought it, CEX have a two day unwanted/not suitable return policy and I could return it to any store no problem. It was unused and not fit for what I wanted, so I went to this store to find some other items to exchange it with. CEX say you have two day to return if it isn't suitable for you, they will offer a in store credit, not a refund. They said they can't exchange it as they don't have a way of testing it, even though it was within the two days, so I need to go back to the other store to get the credit, and return back to them to spend the credit on the items I found. I went back to the other store and they were more than helpful, very apologetic and understanding. I asked because of the mix up I would like to get the refund instead, although they say they don't offer refunds, only in store credit, but because of all the messing around they did offer the refund in this situation. Ultimately I am happy with the outcome, but not with the experience from this store.
