Lovely vets unfortunately let down by the receptionist. Me and my husband went with our puppy and my mum came just to check out the vets as she has a cat, the blonde haired receptionist said that I’m not to let my dog roam far on the extendable lead. We were only waiting for a few minutes in the waiting area, however our puppy is nervous of the vets as it is, so we had to hold him back. She said it was so people could walk through, there was only one person walking and I would’ve pulled him away anyway. The way she said it was very abrupt. Not great.

I came to Highfields Vets seeking help for my bunny, Benny, who had escaped his enclosure and had a fight with his brother which resulted in a part of his bottom lip being ripped off. I was a total mess. I had just woken up to the scene.
I called at least 7 practices to see if anyone could give us any help at all and by the time I called Highfield Vets I was practically sobbing and losing hope. The receptionist took our details and immediately made me feel at ease, comforting me as I told her what had happened.
The real problem was that I had not been paid yet, and my partner was away for work as he works in the army. In the past few months my partner and I have been covering funeral costs for our stillbirth and still paying off our new home purchases. I was alone and I felt stuck and above all things I felt awful for Benny because he didn’t deserve to be in pain while I tried to figure something out at such a horrible time. I felt like the worst owner ever.
None of the staff who spoke to me knew my situation and they didn’t ask any intrusive questions. Without hesitation, within a few hours Benny was given pain relief, antibiotics and we had a date set to get him castrated and at the same time stitch his lip.
Harriet the nurse that took care of Benny was the loveliest girl I have ever met. She ensured all my worries were heard and acted upon and I was given the option to pay two days later when I finally got paid.
Lucy the owner, also ensured the cost was adjusted so that Benny could receive the care he needed without causing me additional stress. My experience at Highfield Vets touched my heart. I don’t think I ever cried so many tears of relief and gratitude when I came home with Benny after his surgery.
From receptionists, nurses, surgeons and the owner herself, this place is full of kind, genuine angels. Inspiring people. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for being the light in the dark for those who just need a little extra support like myself.
Benny would thank you too… but since hes been home he has been far too busy stuffing his face with all the hay he can fit. I am very confident he believes that he actually went on holiday rather than to a vet. Thank you on behalf of Benben also 💗💗💗

Everyone has looked after Finley so well over the years and Catrina on his last days 💙
Lovely vets and nurses, full transparency over prices and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. Thanks you ❤️

Care of my border collie at Highfields has always been exemplary.
I would like to say a huge thank you to the staff at Highfields Vets where my dog usually attends for his annual health check and vaccinations.
Today my dog has got a very bad broken nail and he was visibly in pain.
We were walking in for an emergency appointment and the reception immediately offered one within 2 hours. Then the vet solved my dog's problem in a very professional way, my dog remained calm while he went through a painless procedure 🙏
I am always very satisfied with the service of Highfields Veterinary Clinic.
I really appreciate for the fast and professional treatment and care 🐾🐶
