- BCBrian ChappelleAug 28, 20262.0I visited this CeX store when on my summer holiday to Cornwall. I'm usually really wary of buying second hand electronics because I've had bad experiences in the past, however the bundled strap on my Meta Quest 2 failed recently and they happened to have a venom strap on sale for £25. Fully marked up as Quest 2 compatible, so I bought it on trust. Turns out that was a mistake. The Venom head strap comes bundled with two different brackets which you can fit with a small screw. This head strap has the Quest 3 brackets fitted and did not come with the Quest 2 brackets bundled rendering it useless to me. I have now ordered 2 replacement brackets from Venom direct at the cost of around £10 for a total purchase price of £35, even more annoying when it is currently available on Amazon for £27 brand new. I guess I could take it in to CeX Bristol for a refund but given I only have 3 days before I go back to work I really cant be bothered. Lesson on purchasing second hand specialist electronics learned, again! Retailers, even second hand should understand what they are selling and mark it up appropriately.
