Completely unethical operating model at this store, obviously designed to pray on mainly low income locals who need cash and are willing to be insulted with low ball offers. I took 2 Samsung S model phones in, one s22 and one s24. Before driving to the store I checked both devices against their A-C grading model. Both EASILY fell in line with grade B. Both had a few very light hairline marks on the screen, no cracks, no deep scratches and no other peripheral damage. The S24 was not far off an A grade by their online guide. So off I drove, walked in the store and started the sale process. First I asked if the price in-store was the same as online, "yes, well usually yes" was the answer, this had been concerned off the bat. A quick check of both phones and all the boxes and charge leads (bear in mind that grade B phones don't even need boxes) and I was told that Grade C wàs all I would be offered, with no real explanation on how this compared to their grading structure. A quick check of the window as I passed noted phones in worse condition than mine being sold as grade B. I told the staff member I was unhappy, which was greeted by a vacant uncomfortable smile. This is obviously CEXs operating model. Low ball, on grading and buying, mark up on selling. Disgusting behaviour and, as I started by saying, praying on local people, many of which who would have accepted the insulting grade offer. Shame on you modern day crooks.

Awesome store. A good selections of consoles for sale. Game prices vary, but overall pretty good.

I recently visited CeX in stockport.town centre, as my son wanted to sell 2 of his xbox,s. Its quite a big store. With absolutely loads inside. I didnt know where to look first. Its every gamers dream place. If you dont mind second hand, or refurbished get down to CeX and grab a bargain. The staff are friendly and we were dealt with very fast. They will tell you what they are happy to give you for your unwanted items. And if your happy the deal is done. I absolutely recommend this place. 👌 Definitely worth a visit.
