On 26/06/2026, I bought a GoPro Max 2 after being assured by the staff that it had been fully tested and was in good working condition. Everything looked fine in-store, so I trusted their process. When I got home, I charged the camera, inserted an SD card, and found that one of the cameras was faulty, making the device faulty from the start. I returned to the store the very next day (27/06/2026). Unfortunately, they told me they couldn’t repair or replace it and the only option was a refund back as a CeX voucher. Since I had traded in my Canon camera for a voucher to purchase the GoPro, I couldn’t even get my money back in cash. Selling a faulty product that was supposedly “fully tested” is unacceptable, and then limiting the refund to a voucher leaves customers stuck shopping there again. This has been a very poor experience, and once I use this voucher, I won’t be shopping at CeX again. I expected much better quality control and customer service.
