  I recently bought a second hand iPhone from the store unfortunately, it had an intermittent fault. They were unable to replace it so, I received a full refund. A big shout out to Jamal and James who dealt with this issue in a very pleasant and professional way. They were pleasant and kind to me and I am very grateful for the way my issue was dealt with. Thank you so much Jamal and James,

  Went into store yesterday to sell a phone. Was told there was moisture in the charging port and that they would have to take it as non working. Decided to take the phone back, checked it all over at home and there was no issues with the charging. I've taken it elsewhere and got an instant payout for more money!

  Not the greatest experience at the Altrincham store. Staff don’t seem to care and not helpful. Taken my laptop to exchange for cash and I had automated email saying it failed the test. No explanation why. No call, just an email to come and collect my item. The staff served me on the day did take my number twice and advised they will call me if anything happens. I turned up at store and was told the battery is not a sufficient charge to accept for exchange. Which I find confusing as batteries do degrade after use. The laptop I have is coming up 2 years old, so yes the battery will decay through out time. Some of the items you have on store display are much older than my laptop. I decided to go to my local CEX and they advised me the serial number is slightly scratched and they can’t take it in. Which a fully accept the reason. They then offered alternative places which may accept my laptop and apologise they cannot accept at this point. Wasn’t expecting an apology from staff, but appreciated their honesty. The store staff at the altrincham should have told me in the first place before taking it for testing. This is the 2nd time it’s happened going in to trade tech at the store and yet another bad experience.I love CEX but I feel the staff seem nonchalant and think of any excuse not to accept items. Not sure I will be returning into the Altrincham store anytime soon.
