  Appointment on 2 January 2026 to investigate several cold/lukewarm radiators (Invoice 5493). I was charged £180 + VAT for the visit and diagnosis. The engineer advised that multiple thermostatic radiator valves needed replacing. No repair was carried out during the visit and the radiators were left not working. The next day, a friend freed the stuck TRV pins within minutes and all radiators worked normally. No parts needed replacing. In my experience, I paid £180 + VAT for a diagnosis that turned out to be incorrect and the original problem was not resolved.

  Pathetic experience with this gas safe register. It should actually loose it status. I used him regularly (as he has good availability) for the maintenance of my boiler, and I found he was good in critics (as he made a list of all the points to correct). This time I wanted to fit a gas hob and a oven. We agreed on a fixed price. After a morning of work (to do 1 m of tubing literally), he checked the installation and was ready to leave. I made the remark that the oven was not in its final position (as it was outside its cabinet). He said he does not fit the oven. Fine, when I tried to fit the oven in, the gas hob pipe clashed with the oven and it started smelling gas... This is when I loose faith in this worker. He had to go and told me he would come back the next day. I felt I was taken hostage (not able to cook), the gas was not safe to use (no heater) and even worst, he ask for more money.... We finally fix the problem, but the fact that I had to argue and potentially be ready to sue him, make me think you should get a proper gas safe register...
