- JNJess NormanJun 29, 20261.0Absolutely appalling experience with CeX. I paid £245 for a boxed PlayStation Portal 30th Anniversary edition as a gift, expecting it to arrive in presentable condition. Instead, the box turned up covered in tape, ripped corners, scuffs, stains and visible damage. For something sold as “boxed”, this is completely unacceptable—especially for an item intended as a gift and one that’s a limited edition. To make matters worse, customer service has been dreadful. After raising a complaint and sending photos of the condition it arrived in, the only resolution offered was a £10 voucher to spend with them. Why would I want to spend more money with a company that clearly doesn’t care about the condition of expensive items or its customers? If you’re buying anything collectible, limited edition or intended as a gift, I’d strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Paying £245 for something that arrives looking second-rate, then being offered a token voucher instead of a proper resolution, is incredibly disappointing.
