  I bought a TV from CeX, but the remote control doesn’t work properly. When the woman sold it to me, she said it was a 2025 model and that I would be able to download any apps I wanted onto the TV. I trusted her and bought it. When I got home, I found that the remote was not working properly, the volume control did not work, and I couldn’t download the apps I wanted, such as Netflix. I went back to the store and asked if they could replace the remote or refund me, but they told me they would not give me my money back and would only offer me a store voucher. I am very disappointed because I feel that the TV was not as described and is not functioning properly. I would like either a full refund or a replacement that works correctly. In Aylesbury

  Had a clear out of my cupboard and decided to sell a few items to CEX, mainly to free up some space and get a little money back for things I haven’t used in a while. The selling process itself was straightforward and I had no issues with how much they offered for the items. My only issue was the attitude of one of the staff members behind the counter (short, blue hair, glasses). I understand that working in retail can be difficult—I’ve worked in retail myself and know customers can sometimes be rude—but her behaviour was unnecessarily dismissive and unprofessional. Throughout the interaction she made several belittling comments and rude remarks. At one point another customer even looked at me in disbelief, which made the situation feel even more uncomfortable, while her colleagues appeared completely unfazed. The transaction itself was fine, but customer service like this really lets the store down. Staff working in the store should treat customers with basic respect and professionalism.

  Staff in there are so passive aggressive when answering questions, next time I'll just avoid it entirely

  Two stars given for the two male staff members who actually seem happy to be working in a customer-facing role. The other two surly and rude staff (a man and a woman) I've had the misfortune of encountering over the past couple of days most certainly don't! Horrible experience both times - made to feel like a total inconvenience.
