Since JKL have had the contract for maintaining our church’s gas-fired air heater, we have had no recurrence of any of the multiple problems we had with it previously over many years, such as (a) burner cut-outs, (b) randomly failing to stop heating when the programmed timer had told it to stop, and (c) blowing cold air continuously and indefinitely when heating demand ceased, instead of just stopping as it should. Engineer Micky got to the bottom of all the problems and sorted everything out for us, including wiring requirements (to support summer fan-only operation and misunderstood by previous firms) that had led to a relay being incorporated unnecessarily and which set-up had in turn led to some of the faults mentioned above. He liaised with the manufacturer a lot to get it right. There was also the annoyance that the heater would blow cold air at us while doing its warm-up; now it behaves as it should and only blows air into the church once the heat exchanger is hot. The work to install a replacement main fan a few years ago was also done without dismantling of overlying ducting that other engineers seemed to find necessary previously – saving a lot in time costs. Nice work all round – thanks a heap.
