Unfortunately, after several poor experiences, I won't be using the Aylesbury CeX again. What makes this particularly disappointing is that I will continue to use CeX. I've used multiple other CeX stores and generally find the experience consistent and perfectly good. Aylesbury, however, has repeatedly been way below the standard I've experienced at other branches. Whenever I've visited, I've found the staff incredibly unwelcoming. There's often little or no acknowledgement when you arrive, and I've repeatedly been made to feel as though serving customers is an inconvenience while staff continue conversations amongst themselves. On a previous visit I was clearing out some old DVDs and was told I might have a bulk discount applied. I explained that they were simply DVDs I'd accumulated and was clearing out, and they eventually agreed not to apply it. That was essentially the extent of the interaction with the person serving me, who spent the rest of the time discussing a TV programme with their colleague while dealing with my transaction. My latest experience has been even more frustrating. I brought in a mixed collection of games I'd accumulated over the years using Drop & Go. Again, there was virtually no acknowledgement when I arrived, another customer was dealt with ahead of me, and I was made to feel like a considerable inconvenience. I even split the games into separate Drop & Go orders to make them easier for the staff to process. Despite this, they subsequently attempted to apply a blanket 10% “bulk” discount because amongst an otherwise mixed collection there were a few titles I'd happened to accumulate more than one copy of over the years. Nearly a week later, after numerous emails with Customer Support trying to resolve the situation, I've now asked for my games back rather than accept the discount. I understand CeX having a policy to deal with genuine bulk trading. What I find unreasonable is treating someone clearing out an assorted personal collection as a bulk trader simply because there happen to be a few duplicate games amongst it. But ultimately, it's the consistently poor customer service that has prompted this review. If this were representative of CeX generally, I simply wouldn't use the company. It isn't. I've used numerous other branches and consistently had a much better experience. Unfortunately, Aylesbury stands out for all the wrong reasons. I'll continue using CeX, but I won't use the Aylesbury branch again.

Had a clear out of my cupboard and decided to sell a few items to CEX, mainly to free up some space and get a little money back for things I haven’t used in a while. The selling process itself was straightforward and I had no issues with how much they offered for the items. My only issue was the attitude of one of the staff members behind the counter (short, blue hair, glasses). I understand that working in retail can be difficult—I’ve worked in retail myself and know customers can sometimes be rude—but her behaviour was unnecessarily dismissive and unprofessional. Throughout the interaction she made several belittling comments and rude remarks. At one point another customer even looked at me in disbelief, which made the situation feel even more uncomfortable, while her colleagues appeared completely unfazed. The transaction itself was fine, but customer service like this really lets the store down. Staff working in the store should treat customers with basic respect and professionalism.

Not being allowed to look at a £25 item without a member of staff standing between myself and the door. Told it's company policy. I am 64 and not interested in stealing a second hand kindle.
