  Used John Cox Mechanic today as I was looking for a trustworthy local mechanic after moving to the area, my old one had become too far away. I booked in for a routine service and also asked them to check an MOT advisory for a roll bar link. They called me during the service to explain the issue and gave me a quote to replace the roll bar link as well. The price was very reasonable and I appreciated them checking before going ahead. I was also really impressed with the guys there, very down to earth and clearly knowledgeable. My experience pretty much echoes all the other reviews on here. I’d definitely recommend them and will be using them again. You do have to book about 4 weeks in advance, but that’s probably a reflection of providing a trustworthy service and being in high demand.

  John Cox engineers changed my exhaust and it cost a lot less than the quote I got from STS. John Cox engineers stated that there are two parts that could be affected but they would only replace the parts that need replacing. The John Cox garage quote for both parts was much less than STSs. Plus they only replaced one part as the other part was working correctly. The finished job ended up costing far less than the STS fixed quote which was not negotiable nor flexible. I saved over £200. John Cox garage is my family's trusted and favourite car mechanics. I have always had excellent service from them since I started using them several years ago.

  Having previously been ripped off by other mechanics, I was delighted when John Cox & Son did a fantastic job with MOT and Service of my VW Polo (2018) plate recently. A very reasonable price and efficient in completing the work - look forward to returning next year.

  I have been taking my car here for years now. They are a genuine, trust worthy, professional team. Always get parts needed and the work completed very quickly having never needing to go back to get anything redone. Highly recommend, you won't be disappointed.
