  Having spent 4 years training under all three names for this gym!! And being asked to write this review after most classes lol I have finally gotten around to it ! Professor Tomas Bracher is the worst mentor and leader that most adults and children could ask for period!! he may be good at Jiu Jitsui (but most black belts are!) but as a professor and a leader and a owner possibly the worst I’ve encountered after 50 years in lots of different areas that is some achievement so 5 stars for that in fact. As for the coaching staff do not be fooled by the warm welcome and happy smiles and well wishes and friendships you make they will lie and cheat their way out of any situation for any reason if they need to protect themselves and Thomas they have no integrity or honour what so ever they will hang you out to dry if you ever make a complaint and not think twice about it, it is a toxic working and training environment for Adults let alone children! So if you can stay away then I recommend you do rather than wasting all that time and money!! you’re just there to pay the bills don’t ever forget that and once your done with your gone and that warm friendly welcoming attitude disappears very quickly.

  Super clean matts, and locker rooms. Very nice decorated and most important amazing staff and great people training there. If you’re looking to start BJJ this is the place. By far the most fun sport I’ve tried so far. Highly recommend 🥋🥋

  Phenomenal training environment & coaching team. I'm a black belt/gym owner and I do a 3 hour round trip to train at ALBA every opportunity I get, its never wasted! If you're in the area, get involved. If you're not, make the trip!

  I was hoping to give a possible review. However when I came to A L B A I was given misinformation. I was told we get a 4 week trial the lady helped me on the phone and showed me the box to sign which I did and then she told me to pay £4 something not sure what it was for she did not show me any terms and conditions about a 60 day thing I genuinely thought it was for a 4 week trial like I was told not signing up for a membership. My one child did not join in and my other child was not keen at all. I’ve had no help for the members of staff other than being told I have to pay for 2 months. If I knew about the 60 day thing after my trial lesson I wouldn’t have agreed as my children don’t want to take part so I have to pay for my children not wanting to take part. I don't think this is fair what so ever.

  I cannot speak highly enough of the coaches at Alba jiu jitsu. Prior to my 4 year old son starting at Alba he hadn’t had much contact with males for the previous two years and wouldn’t even make eye contact with a man. This pretty much instantly changed since starting at Alba. I have never seen adults interact with children so well, they see and understand the children in such an effortless manner, I honestly think the education system could have a lot to learn from the coaches at Alba. Each and every one of the coaches has such a wonderful nature with the children. We honestly hope to be life long members.
