  We are extremely grateful to Nick and all the friendly staff at Quest who have helped to set up our ltd company, guiding us through these early stages to becoming an established architecture practice. We are now running a successful business and Quest manage our payrole and tax returns which allows us to focus on delivering our architectural services to our clients.

  At first they seemed to offer an efficient friendly service at a good price, and Nick was good enough to help check and finish off the Ltd Co. accounts I'd prepared for my contracting business. This part of the work went well and I would have given him 4 or 5 stars, but then I got him to do the same with my self assessment. He prepared it and then I checked it against what I'd prepared. There were some inconsistencies so I listed them out in an email and sent them to him, but I received no reply. So I left a voicemail and still no reply. One month later he hasn't got back to me and I sent a reminder email and another voicemail. From the lack of response and looking at the differences I can only conclude that he'd made errors on the return - however I can't confirm this as he hasn't called me back. Some of my BTL expenses hadn't been included, my lodger income had been ticked as under 7.5k when it wasn't and I needed to pay tax on it, REIT seemed to have been incorrectly categorised although probably to a category taxed at the same rate, overseas dividends incorrectly categorised as UK dividends. If he'd have called me back to resolve I might still have given him 4 stars but if you pay someone to prepare a return you expect them to call you back and deal with any queries afterwards especially when they're likely to be their mistakes.

  Very efficient, completed a tax return very quickly. I found that the service was very clear and they kept me up to date throughout the process. I also found that they were cheaper than my previous accountants.
