Appreciating Stuart’s Kindness and Professionalism :)
My iPhone battery had seriously declined, so I went into the store to get it checked. I was informed that the device needed further inspection and that I would receive an SMS regarding my appointment, along with updates when it was my turn at the Genius Bar. However, with a phone battery that was already dying, this process became quite inconvenient.
I happened to speak with Stuart and asked if he could help me. He was incredibly kind, understanding, and patient throughout the process. He checked my appointment time, advised me when to return, and even made detailed notes in the system to ensure I would be personally called when it was my turn.
What I appreciated most was that he continued to keep me updated in between, letting me know when my turn was approaching. His professionalism, empathy, and proactive approach made me feel genuinely comfortable and cared for during what could have been a frustrating experience.
I truly appreciate Stuart’s kindness and excellent customer service.

Despite other recent reviews I think the staff here are amazing - there are lots on the shop floor happy to help and many working on the Genius Bar sorting through repairs etc. Josh and Dan were both very helpful and friendly and I got my phone repaired the same day as I brought it in. Honestly it feels they don’t get enough credit for their hard work. I overhead another customer be very unkind to a staff member and thought the person who was dealing with them extremely professional and helpful regardless. Thanks so much, I’m very happy with the repairs and service!

I had a very disappointing experience at the Apple Reading store today. While two staff members, Max and another colleague, were kind and helpful, the rest of the experience was frustrating.
I came in specifically for buying a new phone and the trade-in process after researching in advance. Initially, I was told my phone had £0 value, which was surprising since it was valued at £90 just few months ago at Apple Covent Garden. After leaving and returning to double check, I was then told it was worth £80—but by that time, the store was closing due to the bank holiday, so the process couldn’t be completed.
I spent hours traveling and waiting, only to receive inconsistent information and no resolution. This was a stark contrast to the excellent service I received previously at Covent Garden very specifically by a staff called Karma(who was the sweetest).
Very disappointing overall Apple Reading.
