  Lyndsey, Dr. Canty, Liz and Cassie were all soooooo amazing!!!! We felt so cared for! Everyone was so kind, patient, thorough, professional and went way above and beyond!!! We now have a new Vet for our fur babies 😍

  Dr.Sparks has always done wonderful with my 5 sweet babies. They’ve been coming to her since they were 3 months old and now they’re all almost a year old! She answers all my questions and gives me details of her thoughts on medication given to us. The cats always love roaming around the room and being pet by the staff. Highly recommend!

  The staff at VCA in Savannah have been amazing!! We just moved here and started new care with our two dogs. They have been so patient and accommodating and provide exceptional care to our dogs Gabby and Benny.

  I had been taking my cats to this practice for years and had wonderful service everytime, which gave me trust in them with the health of my cats. One of my babies had started peeing outside of her litter box so we took her in to the emergency vet where they told us it was a uti and sent us home with some antibiotics and pain medication for her. I will note that the vet that saw her that day is currently under investigation by the veterinary board of Georgia for negligence. We scheduled a follow up appointment at VCA to get her checked out as we had finished the meds, but she was still very lethargic. We booked an appointment with Dr.Sparks, who we hadn’t seen before but she was the only one available and we wanted to get her seen asap. As we had past good experiences, I figured that she would be great as well. I was even told that she was so good she could just “feel if anything was wrong.” At the appointment, my cat was more energetic but she wasn’t herself by any means and we brought her in for a reason. But because she was acting more normal, Dr.Sparks, who seemed to be very disinterested in my baby, told me she might not even need an exam and she wouldn’t want me to pay the fee if she was fine. I said I would like the exam as I wanted to at least have her checked over and felt so we could know if she was ok and improving. Dr.Sparks said ok, left and came back to do the exam. She noted that there seemed to be some stool blocked up but it’s not concerning, we should just make sure she poops. They said the lethargy was normal from the meds and she should improve and sent us home. The exam lasted no longer than five minutes. She did not improve, she was able to poop once but she was still lethargic and wasn’t interested in playing which we expressed to VCA. We were told if her condition didnt improve we should bring her back for in. We booked the soonest appointment but she was still not doing any better so we decided to take her to the emergency vet. They did x-rays and discovered a large tumor in her abdomen as well as pockets of air throughout her tiny body caused by tears in her organs from the tumor. It was too late to save my two year old baby and we had to put her down. We were told by those vets that there was no possibility of it being that large and not being noticeable at the first emergency vet appointment where we got an ultrasound. There is no way of telling if it was discovered earlier we would’ve been able to save her, but regardless not only did that first emergency vet fail her but VCA failed my baby. We followed up with VCA to let them know what happened and my roommate spoke with the manager of VCA. Within our first calls with them they seemed very understanding and sympathetic. They said they would do a review and let us know the results. I didn’t want anyone to lose their job over this, I just wanted some accountability and maybe further training/review for Dr.Sparks and the whole team as they missed something so crucial on my baby. We received word from the manager that they believed they were in no way at fault and the tumor just grew so quickly there was no way it could’ve been detected at the initial vet appointment. This is not true, it isnt what we were told by the emergency vet, who have taken accountability and acknowledged their faults. The response from VCA felt like a slap in the face. Again, I didn’t want anyone fired, I just wanted accountability and further training so this never happened to anyone’s pet again. We don’t know if detecting it at that initial appointment would’ve saved her life but at least we would’ve known that we were gonna have to say goodbye so soon. Before that second call I was open to taking my other two back there, but after that I have lost all trust in VCA. I wasn’t going to leave a review for them as I hoped an internal review would address the issue and help prevent this from happening again, but they dropped the ball. I don’t want them to drop the ball on anyone else’s pet. Coven was my soul cat and I will spend the rest of my life missing my sweet girl.
