Not very helpful. I was trying to canceling a pre paid account. I went to the store as instructed by online customer service. At the store, received no real customer service and was told to just cancel at the bank.

This episode with Verizon Rome has been a nightmare, and I am just asking for help to resolve so many issues! Twice I went to store to ask for help with sorry performance of my phone. Both times I was met with a table full of people scrolling on phones and talking and did not get up to help me at all! Once I left, the second time I kept standing there and someone finally came and literally led me to the door out and said I just had a cheap phone that needed more memory.....
Since that time, my phone met an untimely demise when it got crushed and is inoperable. I went to store in Rome and again was met with a table full of stares and no one got up. There was one young man assisting customers on other side of room. Finally a guy got up and when he saw my broken phone, said "oh no"...he was kind, but he did not know what he was talking about! He told me I wasn't eligible for the promotion running right now where all get a free phone with 36 month service. I told him no iPhone. I wanted as close ti phone as I had...he then told me I could go to Walmart and get the same phone for a lot less! He went to the back to check on something and came back and said here is phone you need. I said OK and he had contract drawn up already! Said it would be 96 dollars pr month fir phone, service, and insurance....but then he said I needed to take old busted phone and get it repaired before new phone can be set up...so I took it to wefixit and two weeks later I'm still waiting on part to come in. Meanwhile, back at Verizon, I went back and there was one very nice young man who offered to help me! He said the one who sold me the new phone and all that was no longer at this store and apologized many times for his apparent lack of knowledge. I wish I had gotten his name, but he helped me very much. However, since that time, I have received two different bills from Verizon, one for 106 dollars pr month due immediately, and then 126 per month due on the first! I paid this month's bill the day I bought the phone! I have repeatedly responded to AI and Gemini that I don't want their service and I just can't get this phone straightened out! I started to go back to Rome store today in hopes of getting same representative as before, but wonder if he will still be there? Should I go back to store and try to straighten all this out or would a phone call to accounts be better as I have a ways to drive? I was told again that for the next thirty six months, I am to pay 96 dollars or 106pr month! But it keeps going up! Why didn't I qualify for promo? Sorry to vent, but as I said:a nightmare except fir the one helpful associate one time
