Don't make them rich and take advantage of you. I have been taking my dog here for years. Someone had recently dropped off kittens to my front door and I have been feeding them because my kids and I are animal lovers. They are skittish but love me and my kids. It was a brother and sister I'm sure. They need to be fixed so dozens of litters don't appear. I am a single dad and am only trying to resolve a problem in the future and not loaded with money. I called to get the female spayed and a rabies vaccine. They wanted 800$. Evident their is zero compassion here and they are just trying to lace their pockets. It blew my mind. I will not be taking my animals here ever again. Years of visits right down the drain due to greed. My dog no longer goes here after this. I will never spend another cent in this establishment. Looks like they can't afford the remodel that was done and now the consumers are forced to pay it by outrageous fees associated to this dishonest place.

My recent experience at VCA Ringgold was extremely disappointing, and I feel other pet owners should be aware.
From the start, communication was careless — the doctor messaged me about “Scout” when my dog’s name is Prince, and one of the staff members repeatedly misgendered him despite being corrected. Dr. Collins told me that I would be able to pick him up at 11:30, but when I called at 11:45, I was told they were in a staff meeting. I understand the importance of meetings and breaks, but that meeting lasted around three hours. My fiancée and I waited outside while they had catering brought in. I completely respect the need for internal meetings, but it’s unreasonable to leave clients waiting for hours when it could have taken 20 minutes to finish my dog’s visit.
When I finally got inside, I didn’t even get to speak with Dr. Collins about the medication he prescribed. I had to go home and research it myself — something I shouldn’t have to do after a scheduled vet appointment.
To make matters worse, when they brought Prince out, he was wearing a choker instead of his harness and leash. I immediately asked where his harness was, and the staff member acted confused and argued with me several times. Only after I insisted — explaining that I stopped using collars years ago because Prince chokes himself — did the harness suddenly “reappear.” It felt like they were trying to keep my property.
Finally, they also forgot to give Prince his rabies shot, even though they had him for four to five hours.
Overall, this visit showed a lack of professionalism, accountability, and care. I hope VCA Ringgold addresses these issues seriously so no one else has to go through an experience like this.
