Last week when I was using my vacuum the power got shorted and the vacuum burnt out. On November 11, I took it to the Norcross, GA service center location to fix it. The customer service representative came in and mentioned that I have to book a service request online with the serial number. He explained that the motor is covered under warranty and some additional parts need to be replaced, so the cost would be $130. The service request status came as "new" and there were no updates for almost 5 days till Saturday. I contacted the 1-800 number and they also didn't have a "service option" and Google provided a disconnected number, making me visit in person again to the service center. Can Dyson service centers not update a working phone number on their website for service requests? So on Saturday, after 5 days, when I went to the service center for a status check, the same representative came. He was rude and abrasive, and started mentioning that there will be NO updates until the job is completed. We will get a text when my machine is ready for pickup. When I questioned the business process method about ambiguity of the status, he was abusive and showed his true colors of being a person unfit for that job. Either the company which claims that they are revolutinizing aero dynamics technology should have clear business model or pleasant and knowledgeable customer service representative in their work force. I'm quite confused how my device repair will be done and if I will need to encounter the same customer service representative again to resolve it. Please BEWARE!

These are just the facts. I was asked by customer service if I wanted to take my product to the Dyson facility in Norcross. I agreed. I took my product to the service center in the original box with all the packaging minus the remote. They repaired the product. I have yet to use it as I’m writing this 30 minutes after receiving the product. Here’s my complaint. First, they returned the product without the box. Then they acquired if I wanted the box. I did. They returned the box with none of the internal packaging that kind of secures the device in the box. I said did I didn’t give it to them that way. Dyson replied well we tell people not to bring the box. I was told nothing of the sort by anyone. They could’ve took the product out of the box when I got it there and gave me back the box with all the packaging, but they did not. This may be a small thing to you, but I keep the original packaging for pretty much everything because things move quite a bit in my life and if it’s good enough for the company to ship brand new to sell it to you, then it should protect the product every time that is moved. They offered to bubble wrap it. That is unacceptable. I contacted Dyson customer service. I was put on hold and then somehow the car was ended. I called back, I got another customer service agent and they told me that Dyson no longer ships boxes or anything of that nature. Well for as much money as I spent on this device and the other Dyson products that I have and they claim to have iconic customer service. They dropped the ball. If these things break, I will no longer fix them. I will simply buy something else. Their iconic service cost them a customer.

Quick and easy to obtain service, by knowledgeable, courteous staff. One year parts (and their labor) guarantee. No info of what repair was effected, but the issue reported appears to be fixed.

My first Dyson I had for 16 years. It was excellent. The best vacuum cleaner I have ever had. Which led me to buy my second Dyson vacuum cleaner. It was a Dyson animal ball vacuum a little different than the first. I have had it for about 4 years now. It is basically a piece of junk. It's all plastic. The first part I had break was a tiny little plastic part. I don't even know what it was for but it was still under warranty thankfully. But now for no reason at all. It just stops working. I've cleaned it. My husband has taken it apart. It's out of warranty, of course. We put it back together, cleans a little bit and then stops. 4 years old. What happened to the Dyson they first made that lasted 16 years. I guess that was the problem, they made it so it worked and made it out of good components. No more Dysons for me.
