- ACAnthony CalabroMar 10, 20265.0Update: This is my second 5-star review for MacSpace! I called and their technician Ian picked up the phone. When I had charging issues about two months ago, he mentioned that it could be a logic board issue; he advised me to return a refurbished 2020 MacBook Air that I purchased from Amazon. Like an idiot, I only took some of his advice and temporarily solved the issue by buying an Apple product charger. Fast forward to last week, and my Mac wouldn’t hold a charge and died completely. My wife brought my Mac in, and they discovered a corroded charging port/chip (reference the picture below). They even posted pictures on their online portal showing what was wrong in comparison to a clean charging port/chip. After a $75 Diagnostic and $15 part/service fee, my Mac holds a charge without a problem on both top and bottom ports. They also fixed it within a day or two. Ian went out of his way to explain everything to myself over the phone and my wife in-person. He also mentioned tips and tricks to avoid battery degradation, promoting the longevity of your Mac over its lifespan. This is how customer service should be! Highly recommend them to anyone experiencing MacBook issues that need a quick and affordable fix. Thanks so much, MacSpace and Ian! Yall are lifesavers!
