The situation was complicated, and my grandfather was understandably confused and frustrated throughout the process. Alphonso Dyser, the representative who assisted us, was incredibly patient, respectful, and professional the entire time. He clearly explained our options, helped us gather the necessary documentation for Apple, and never once showed frustration — even when he had to repeat himself multiple times. His calm demeanor and genuine care made a stressful situation so much easier to handle. I truly appreciate the way Alphonso treated my grandfather with kindness and dignity. I tried to switch my service to an older Verizon phone I had in the house and was told "it can't handle the new service Verizon is pushing out". Then I was told my only options are to either pay the remaining balance on my Pixel and purchase a new cell phone on top of that or to "deal with the problems I'm having on my current device". 1) why in the world would can a Verizon phone not handle Verizon cell service? 2) why does a phone that costs $1000+ brand new not last longer than a year and half (always charged on original verizon charging cables and boxes and never dropped or given water damage)?
