Very unprofessional. Went twice to get my screen on a iPhone 17 fixed. First time the guy told me everyone is sick all week and they can’t help until Saturday. It was Tuesday. Call customer support and they told me to return Thursday for help. I walk in and the lady behind the front just walks away. When she finally came back she told me it’s after 6 and they can’t help. I explained customer care said I would be ok to arrive at this time which was my appointment. She went to the back came back and said my part isn’t even n stock and I need to go to Apple. Geek squad great job!

The superiority complex of 1 Geek Squad rep has left me pissed off. I purchased an Insta360 Ace Pro a few weeks ago to use on our trip. It was purchased more on a whim, so it was done 1 night before our trip. It turns out that 1 of the battery packs provided in the box was DOA. It would not accept a charge, but luckily the second battery worked. ... so that's the backstory. Today - October 20, 2025 - I spent 15 minutes on Best Buy's automated calling system to figure out how to get the battery replaced. I couldn't talk to any human representative, and the call kept going to an automated chat bot. It kept pushing me to make an appointment with the Geek Squad, so that's what I did. It sent me a link to my phone and I made a "Drop Off'' appointment service for 7:20pm. I figured that's what I'll do... drop it off on my lunch break and they can fix it at 7:20pm. That's what I did for my lunch break... traveled 10 minutes to Best Buy and walked up to the Geek Squad around 12:30. I WISH I got the name of the Geek Squad rep that greeted me. I waited patiently because another rep was working with someone at the counter, when 2 guys came out of the room in the back. One greeted me and asked how he can help me. I said I have a drop off appointment for 7:20pm... He proceeded to patronize me to all Hell..."sir, what will we do with your camera until 7:20?" ... WHILE doing the finger pecking on an imaginary keyboard proceeded to tell me "We have to take time to enter your name and details" at which point I had to stop him and tell him that I didn't care what the process and that I already spent 15 minutes on their bot service trying to figure out how to replace just the battery. So I said that I thought it was as simple as dropping off the camera with the battery so they can repair it at 7:20pm. Then he actually asks me "How would we fix a battery?" with a confused look. By this time my blood pressure skyrocketed. Then he goes into a whole process oriented spiel of how the camera and will just get shipped off. I stopped him in midsentence because all I wanted to do was punch him in the mouth. I said, so I'll just bring the camera in at 7:20pm, and he replied "yes". I left with "That's all you had to say." I love my Kennesaw Best Buy, but after I return the camera that will be the last time I walk into that store. I'm returning the camera completely. I'm going home and putting all of the camera contents into the original packaging and returning the camera for a complete refund. I'll take my business to Costco and Microcenter from now and in the future. I hate to say that, because the salesperson who sold the camera was great. The checkout and even the upsell of the protection program was great, and I bought the protection program. The superiority complex or whatever that Geek Squad rep has was unbelievable, and has turned me off of Best Buy completely. He needs to be retrained on how to handle customers. Just a word of advice for him... sometimes less is better.

Waited 4 hours to be helped and I had an appt! They had to ship my Lenova Laptop off. Waited in line 45 minutes just to pick it up. $680 worth of work but luckily I had the insurance thru Best Buy so I did not have to pay anything. However my laptop is doing the exact thing it did before Imagine if I had paid almost $700 and the laptop still had the same problem!?!?!? They have such horrible reviews and we pay sm for the insurance Everyone there is frustrated and angry having to wait and wait and wait. Do something Geek Squad to improve your service!!!!

I spent an hour and half after my 92 year old mother spent “all day” trying to connect to the internet. In 5 minutes they had it fixed at no charge! Totally above and beyond and will highly recommend them. Great job and thank you.

I handed the Geek Squad rep my phone (Samsung Note 5) and he couldn't find the settings button, after he just told me he has a Anroid phone.... 😐 My phone was on back order, when I told the rep that Best Buy had the phone in stock and that I didn't want to wait over a week for my replacement phone, especially since it was a device malfunction, not physical damage or lost (so it didn't require a deductible), the rep explained to me that the shipment option was my only choice because Sprint requires it to be shipped. I understand if something cannot be done or outside of policy but I don't like somebody lying to me or just talking to make themselves sound official or correct. Sprint has no say over how Geek Squad conducts their policy on a device. Geek Squad can send a phone via droid to my front door if they desire. Their insurance coverage is independent from Sprint. I don't like putting my money towards anything if I'm not receiving the most up to date and accurate information. I figure that's why I'm paying Geek Squad to have more knowledge and "how-to." This was only my first experience with Geek Squad...hope they're not all like this. Best Buy wasn't any help either. They pretty much said "yea they don't know what they're doing sometimes." That's comforting!
