I want to leave a rave review for Dr. Benfield. She is the THIRD avian vet I have tried and the only one who knew what she was talking about. Refreshing to find an avian vet that really knows her stuff. Usually I know more than these vets but this was not the case today. And as an owner of a backyard chicken flock she was happy to let me participate in Nugget's care and learn even more. Highly recommend if you need a bird vet. She sees chickens and that is hard to find in Atlanta.

Incredibly helpful when I was traveling out of town and ran out of RX dog food. Front desk staff could have been kinder! Thank you.

I rushed my Riley there 10 days ago. He collapsed suddenly. The doctors immediately took him back to stabilize him. He did not respond to medicine or oxygen. His heart was beating just 30 beats a minute. After 2 hours of helping him, they coordinated with saint francis hospital in Decatur. I went there to see a cardiologist. Riley, who is 13, immediately went to UGA vet hospital and had an emergency pacemaker put in because of a total heart blockage. Thank you to the staff and doctors for saving Riley’s life! Highly recommend!

This is a hard one to review. I first would like to say that all the vets and the staff are absolutely amazing. Your pet will be feeling better in no time.
But this clinic is probably owned by a private-equity firm which is "all the rage" today. YOU WILL BE PAYING HIGHER PRICES! There are some predatory practices when suggesting care too.
Option A, B, C, and D for care will be suggested to you as if it's collectively one[sometimes], and it will all be itemized on a potential bill that can be pretty expensive. You have to ask them to break everything down for you and then suggest yourself things like "let's try A first before we do B or C".
More times than not this happened to me where they throw a bunch of treatments at you, instead of trying one and going from there. We're talking about the bill being 50% to 100%(or more) higher due to additional treatments being added.
Someone might say, "we have to be sure" or "your pet can't actually tell you how it feels". But I never have been billed like this before by any other clinic. It can get ridiculous. If it wasn't for my pet insurance I'd be cooked by this place. Even my insurance rep was like, "I know I'm a snake but gotdamn this is insane"!

I brought my older dog here for emergency services that ended up being end of life care. I thought the staff were great and really caring. That experience made me decide to bring my younger dog for her annual because I wanted to support the practice. The problem is the cost is much higher than at my prior vet (which is also and in town vet just about 5 miles away).
The annual vet exam is only about $15 more here but the fecal and heart warm test is $250 and my old vet was $111. Additionally they had me change my dogs Dhlpp to a DA2P-Pv shot which was more expensive and required a booster 3 weeks later that was not included in the estimate for services that I was quoted. Overall for the same services 1 year ago at a different vet I paid $506 and at VCA I paid $755.15. I like the vets but can justify 50% more expensive for basic care. I wish all vets would just list the prices for basic annual exam and testing clearly on their websites.
