  Bought a laptop, all went well. 4 stars because we had to say no 3 times to them trying to get us a credit account. Saying no once should be enough and by the 3rd time we were tempted to just leave. I know they have their quotas or whatever, but 1 no should be enough. Spent like an additional 10 minutes trying to talk us into it telling us we could get it and then cut it up when we get home just to get a discount. Management, stop making your employees feel desperate to sell credit accounts, just craziness.

  Had an extremely unpleasant encounter with a female employee on the closing shift working at the purchase/pick up counter, as well as a male employee who was working as the door greeter. I was there to pick up a laptop that I purchased and complete a trade in. Instead, I was met with a condescending attitude and complete rudeness. I was asked once if I needed Geek Squad, I said no, then asked again if I was sure I had a purchase as if I was confused about my explanation for being there. The female employee started the trade in process which I let her know if it was too much and my computer wasn’t cooperating that I was happy to proceed without the trade in. She in turn shouted back at me “it’s not me ma’am!” I let her know that I never indicated that it was her and said to her that she’d been rude since I walked up to the desk. She then calls over the male employee and asked him to complete the purchase because I was upset, which was false. I let her know that she appeared to be the one that was upset, not me. I told the male employee she seemed to have a short temper and he defended her saying not to talk to her like that. At that point I felt ganged up on by the employees and I began to lose my temper. I do feel there were some racial biases that played a part in this interaction. I was characterized as “upset” when I wasn’t, even after the female employee raised her voice at me. I believe she lacks the proper customer service and deescalation skills necessary for a people facing position. They threatened to call the police on me when all parties were pointing fingers in each other’s faces. I will never be back to this store. I canceled my order and will gladly pay extra purchasing my laptop directly from Lenovo. Most of these store fronts are on their way out anyway as online shopping is more convenient and you don’t run the risk of being treated poorly as a patron of a business.
