  I’m very disappointed with Carrollwood Cats. I’ve been a client for over 10 years and adopted both of my cats from them, which makes this even more frustrating. They recently refused to approve my cat’s prescription when Chewy reached out, with no prior notice that they no longer do approvals this way. As a result, my cat (who has severe asthma) was left without her medication and could have had to wait up to a week. That’s not acceptable for a serious condition. There was zero communication about this policy change, despite being told that they sent notice via email twice. After years of loyalty, I expected much better. Unfortunately, my family members have had similar negative experiences as well within the last few years, especially with their customer service. I started to take my other cat to the Cat Doctor’s in South Tampa which I highly recommend. Their attention to detail and level of care is incomparable. I’d not recommend Carrollwood Cats to anyone and will be fully transitioning my other cat to the Cat Doctor’s.

  This was one of the worst veterinary experiences I’ve ever had. The first vet misdiagnosed my cat and refused to do X-rays, saying they were “not necessary.” I paid for medications that were completely useless because the emergency clinic later diagnosed asthma. VCA then told me her heart looked “alarming” and pushed an $865 echocardiogram that came back perfectly normal. When their prescribed antibiotic made her very sick and another medication caused frightening side effects, they refused to help and told me to go to the ER. The ER said they couldn’t advise because they didn’t prescribe it. No one took responsibility. They showed no compassion, no accountability, and no continuity of care. The only person who showed genuine compassion and kindness throughout this experience was Alyssa, who was understanding and respectful.

  "Third time's the charm" After 2 previous veterinarians, one of them a Cat vet, we were lucky to find VCA Carrollwood Animal Hospital. Our cat struggle with anxiety every time we take her to the vet, but the experience here was completely different like night and day. The staff and Doctor Williams were incredibly patient, gentle, and didn't rush the appointment. It is such a relief to finally find a team that understands how to work with a nervous kitty. They took excellent care of our cat and explained everything clearly . If you have a high-anxiety cat, I cannot recommend VCA Carrollwood Cat Hospital enough!

  I called looking for a walk in for my Dog, but unfortunately VCA only takes cats, however Elisa was very helpful let me where I can take her she provided me with places and phone numbers I appreciate her empathy and the time she took to help me find an emergency vet for my baby. Thank you Elisa
