    I want to share a great experience I had at the Citrus Plaza Best Buy store in the Geek Squad department. 5 stars go out to Sheldon, Michael, and Thomas. for their efforts in repairing my laptop and getting it back to me. It was running slow and they gave a total team effort to make sure they properly repaired it before returning it to me. Thanks again guys for your expertise and professionalism.

    Customer service is gone. There is no way to call a Best Buy store anymore. Every number forwards to a hotline, and they can’t redirect you or help you reach the store. The store called me about my dashcam install for my Mercedes, but I missed the call, and I couldn’t call back or ask questions. I had to drive there in person. They told me the tech already left, so I had to come back the next day. Two separate trips for something I should have handled over the phone. This process wastes time and makes simple communication impossible.

    I have been a Total Tech member for over three years, paying hundreds of dollars for a membership that is supposed to provide protection plans and support for purchased electronics. In all that time I have never used the plan until this week when my GE ice maker stopped working. I went to my local Best Buy for help and was told they were a week out for appointments, which I could understand. They suggested I call Geek Squad for faster help and gave me a number to call. When I called, I spoke with a representative who was clearly based overseas and was told there would be a charge just to have someone come out and look at the ice maker. That is completely unacceptable. After paying for this membership for years and never using it, I should not have to pay extra just to have something inspected. It feels like a waste of money. I do not recommend buying any protection plans or Total Tech memberships from Best Buy. They sound good on paper but offer very little real value when you actually need help.
