Came here on New Year's Eve. 2 employees in the store. One salesperson, one "manager," a large guy, brown hair, 30s. There are 3 groups of customers. One elderly couple being helped, slowly. One family waiting. And myself. I walk in, manager says whats the issue, I say something with my sim gave out. He says 'Okay, just to let you know, we're short-staffed so there might be a wait." I think okay. The ENTIRE time, the manager is just sitting there, doing nothing. Literally, just sitting, looking at his phone, avoiding any work. 5 minutes later the family waiting asks the manager why he won't help anyone. The manager's reply is: "Im the manager, I dont do sales." For the record, I didnt need 'sales,' I needed someone technical to address the sim issue so I could go about my holiday. The father of the family starts complaining loudly, saying how ridiculous this is, how he should want to help customers and move things along. The manager had no meaningful reply, just continued sitting there. This is after, apparently, the manager helped as a salesperson literally yesterday, and told this family to come back today. Ha, can you imagine? This guy should be fired. Does no work, whatever he is being paid by the owner of this facility, its payment for the guy to sit and do nothing, literally. Check the security cams. You'll see exactly what Im talking about.
I walked out, drove down the road to 4023 S Tamiami. Omg. 5+ employees, digital check-in, someone talking to everyone in line expediting as best as possible. I was serviced in 5 minutes, and the actual sim operation took literally 1 minute. What a joke.
I will never go back to this Verizon on 1427. That manager is beyond lazy, selfish, and worthless. Terrible and shameful.
Edit: to the owner's reply, what are you talking about? Email you? To some generic support email? I told you your manager is not doing his job. Your reply is that you don't care. Great, this seals it; I'll never use your store again. Happy New Year.
