I had a microwave installed, and the installer assured me multiple times that the vent was properly sealed. It wasn’t. The exhaust was blowing straight into my upper cabinet instead of into the roof vent pipe. That’s a fire hazard, a moisture hazard, and something I only discovered because I checked the work myself after they left.
What makes this worse is the total inability to reach anyone at Best Buy when something goes wrong. The store phone lines are a closed loop — you can’t reach a human being, and the system blocks every attempt to get through. When I finally reached the national call center, they told me the only option was to “go to the store,” and even they admitted they have no way to contact the store directly. So there is literally no way to report a safety issue by phone.
These installers are putting in equipment that involves gas, electrical work, and proper venting. If a customer smelled gas, had a wiring issue, or discovered a venting problem like mine, there is no support line, no escalation path, and no one monitoring calls. The only option would be to call 911 — because Best Buy cannot be reached.
I had to physically drive to the store just to notify someone that the installation was unsafe. That should never be the only way to report a potentially dangerous situation.
I’m posting this so others understand the risk: the installation mistake was bad enough, but the complete lack of reachable support afterward makes it far worse.

This would be a zero review if I could. Bought the top of the line Bosch dishwasher on Monday; install scheduled for Friday (today). Installer started the DW, made sure that water was running and then left. About 5 mins later, the DW starts chiming with an error code.
We called Geek Squad and was told they could come Wed 2/18. Later this afternoon, we got a confirmation for Wed 2/25 - 12 DAYS AFTER INSTALL!!
I have spent the afternoon on the phone. Bosch customer service says it's an installation issue so if they send someone out I have to pay for it. They can't come until the end of the month.
I called Geek Squad and asked why the appt is a week later than promised and they didn't know, nothing they could do.
I texted the installer and asked him to come back - no answer.
Called Pacific Express Installation and they close at 3 so no answer.
Tried to call the store to speak with the store manager but ended up in voice mail hell to call center. Store was "too busy to answer the phones" so calls directed to call center. They were no help. Suggested that I drive to the store....
This is the worst customer service. I am so disappointed in Best Buy. Never again. I expect this BS from Home Depot.
At this point I am going to get my own plumber to fix the problem and fight Best Buy for compensation.
UPDATE: tried contacting Best Buy thru message as owner below indicated. No response. How much more time do I need to waste on this?

Geek squad has the worst customer service ever here! This location is by far the worst Best Buy customer service for geek squad I have ever seen. I called there location before driving 30miles to see if they can fix or trouble shoot sound systems and when I got there they said they don’t do that at this location and would not help me even tho I purchased it from them. Warranty didn’t matter they refused to help me.
Never doing business here at this location ever again.
