I had a very disappointing experience at the Apple Store Sarasota.
I visited the store to trade in my iPhone 14 and was initially offered $225, even after the employee verified that the rear camera was not working. Based on that evaluation, I went ahead and purchased the iPhone 17, fully expecting to receive that trade-in value.
However, just a few days later (still within the allowed trade-in period), I returned to complete the process. This time, a different employee reassessed the same phone and suddenly told me that they could not accept it at all and would pay $0.
I escalated the situation to the manager, who acknowledged my concern but ultimately said there was nothing he could do.
This inconsistency is extremely frustrating. What concerns me the most is that Apple itself is sending a message that a device with a non-functioning camera has no value whatsoever, even though it is their own product. This feels like the company is devaluing its own brand.
Additionally, making a customer rely on an initial evaluation to make a purchase decision and then completely reversing that position is simply unacceptable.
I have always trusted Apple products and service, but this experience felt misleading and disrespectful.

The first visit I came from tmobile down the hall so to speak in pursuit of financing an iPhone. I left tmobile around 7:15pm 3/26/26, waited inside the entry way of the store for a couple minutes or so making eye contact with sales people, and older woman finally spoke up but not to me to 3 European men with heavy accents she called well past me toward them asking if they needed help despite entering the store well after I had [mind you I've made eye contact and given that needy look a customer desiring assistance would give] around 7:25-7:30 she asks "what can we help you with" and I said I wanted to ask about getting a phone, before either could finish my sentence [which could've been understandable as she was occupied with previous customers] she interrupted and said there's not enough time("only open for another half-hour")in so many words, unless I was to "buy the phone outright". Would it were me, I'd have said, "please forgive me I am all tied up ATM are you able to return at an earlier hour tomorrow so we can get you squared away with a new iPhone SIR.. I left but it didn't end there.. so I will utilize another account to address the disillusioning follow-up visit. People these days set empathy aside so easily.

I visited yesterday to purchase a new iPad Air. During the process, I considered trading in my old device, and a staff member removed my reusable Astropad Rock Paper screen protector. I ultimately decided to purchase the new iPad without a trade-in, but upon returning home, I realized the screen protector had not been returned to me.
I called the store today to inquire if the item had been set aside. Unfortunately, the representative I spoke with was quite dismissive. She informed me that if it was left behind, it was likely thrown away, and her tone suggested that my inquiry was unreasonable.
While I understand the item may be gone, the screen protector cost $30, and after spending nearly $800 at your store yesterday, I expected a more professional and helpful level of customer service. I believe clear and polite communication is essential when assisting clients. While I am not seeking compensation for the inconvenience.
I believe that it is important for those working in customer service to demonstrate kindness and courtesy when assisting customers.

Every time I come here, I was to wait like 30 minutes even though I have a reservation I typically come prior to the reservation. None of the employees seem to care about anyone who actually comes in and they’re just going about their day. Service is good when they’re done with what you’ve asked them to do and you’ve gotten enough eye rolls from the employees and have to force yourself on someone to be able to get help. What’s the point of a reservation and checking in if no one’s going to do that portion of the job. This is an overall experience that I’ve had since UTC put this store here.

One of the worst customer experiences I’ve ever had. I was there to pick up a replacement phone that was ordered during my previously *scheduled* Genius Bar appointment.
I waited in the order pick up line. After reaching counter - my info was looked up and I was told to take a seat at the Genius Bar.
30 minutes elapse before I finally realize the two people seated *after me* were both *already* being helped
I flagged down the first employee I saw and asked if they could check on my situation. “XYZ happened sorry about that! Should be all set now”
Another 15 minutes elapse before I flag down Nicholas and ask for *another* status update
He recruits *another* Genius Bar employee to figure out why I hadn’t been helped. Rest assured, I was told someone would be with
me shortly
*another* 15 minutes elapse. At this point my head is buried in my folded arms on the Genius Bar.
Nicholas takes notice and offers to help me himself.
1 hour+ to pick up a phone that I wasn’t even activating. I’ve had better customer service at McDonald’s.
