I have two numbers on one phone and my 239 number would not activate properly. After being up from 2 AM to 4 AM trying to fix it on my iPhone and iPad, I called 611 — and unfortunately that made things worse. My SIM was deleted and I was locked out of my account. As a real estate agent, not having my phone and text messaging working is a very big deal. It is how I run my business. Thankfully there is a Verizon store close to me. I spent 2½ hours there and the team was incredibly patient and professional. Even though we ultimately had to loop in Apple Support due to the complexity, they did everything they could and treated me with respect the entire time. Watching them handle customer after customer with billing questions and tech issues, they truly are patient and kind. Manager Nick even personally called me to follow up and offer additional help and support, which meant a lot. My advice: go to the store. The in-person team is far more effective than 611. Very frustrating experience overall, but the store team was excellent.
