  When you go on the website or call Best Buy for Geek Squad support you are instructed to make an appointment. My expectation is, if an appointment is required, a business would do its best to honor that appointment. That is, however, is not the policy for Best Buy or Geek Squad. I arrived a few minutes early for my 3:20 Geek Squad appointment, went inside to only find 6 people in the Geek Squad line. I asked the girl standing by the Customer Service desk if the was a separate place to check in if you had an appointment. She looked at the line and said "That's a long line" and then instructed me that I would have to wait in line until they can check me in. Why make an appointment?Unfortunately, I did no have an hour to wait to get checked in so I had to leave. This is not a critique of the service the Geek Squad may be able provide but of the process. If you "require" appointments" "REQUIRE" appointments or atleast honor appointments before walk-ins. My advice is don't bother with an appointment, show up and be prepared to wait.

  The Geek Squad agents at Best Buy in Port Richey do an excellent job of providing service. I would never buy a computer without a service contract with the Geek Squad. My power supply/charger for a Microsoft Surface Pro 6 died less than two months after purchase. They took care of getting it replaced.
