VCA Pines West has been so loving and caring with our pets. I truly have no preference with the doctors because they've all been awesome and focused on getting our pets healthy and happy! CareClub has also been a huge boon for us in spreading out the cost of routine care and vaccines. No, they're not the cheapest, but you won't worry about the quality of their care and as someone who utilized them until the end with my most beloved dog, that's damn near priceless. I will be forever grateful to them for their compassionate care with our sweet girl, squeezing us in for her last appointment after hours on New Year's Eve.

If you love your pet, don't take it to this place! I took my senior cat who was having dental problems , here for the first time and last time. Horrible experience. Dirty exam room/table (you could see all hairs from the previous animal al over the metal exam table) ,flickering lights. The assistant asked me if my cat was aggressive, I answered: she's not ! Next thing I see is her taking the carrier with my cat out the door and disappeared to a door that said employees only, she did not ask for permission or explained to me where and for what she was taking my cat away to a place out of my sight, how infuriating , I could hear my cat crying, I just hope she did not abuse my cat in there. After what felt like an eternity 15 minutes or so, she comes back just saying how much my cat weighted. After another 15 min the actual vet doctor comes in the room ask me a few questions, check my cat's heart beat and her teeth. She said she may need extractions but 1st need it to run a couple labs. Okay I said , they come back with an estimate it was over $500 , for labs some antibiotic injection, and what shocked me the most for that Horrible visit/ examination was $99 ... yes $99 for taking my cat away , make her scream while I could not see what was happening to her. Then the actual vet hear the heart and open my cat's mouth, that'sit . That place should close , if that table that you see ,was that dirty , imagine that place she took my cat in the back, I don't even want to think about it.! I'm so upset 😡. Please don't take your pets here.!! Now I'm worried my cat could catch a disease from that dirty hospital.!

Dr Berg, is amazing! He has been my Vet for more than 20 years. He’s kind, knowledgeable, and truly care about every pet. He always take the time to explain everything and make sure my pet feels comfortable. Whether it’s a routine visit or an emergency, I know my pet is in the best hands. Highly recommend! Let me know if you’d like any tweaks!

July 3rd 2023 My dog is a long time patient of VCA west pines. VCA denied the refill of my dog's medication yesterday. Dante is 14 years old Dalmatia very old and is in his last months of life; tumors, arthritis, deafness, etc. He can hardly move and the only thing that gives him some quality of life is his carprofen. VCA pines denied the refill to force a visit and scratch a few dollars from a dying dog. I will not allow any lab work, exams or anything that can add more stress to me dog last 100 meters of life and hi doesn't need no one to tall us is a family that our dog is dying. I can't force you to refill his Carprofen (thank you for this medication hi can go by himself to the bathroom) but please consider your facility is forcing an early euthanasia on Dante denied refill, July, 5th, 2023 After apologies two day’s later for pay my frustration with the lady on the phone. Ms.Ashley the facility manager decides to take all this to a new level forbidding me access on future visits to the vet clinic. After begging Ms. Ashley to please let my wife take Dante along for the troublesome visit, Ms. Ashley informed me that in order for my wife to conclude the visit I would need to remove all negative comments about my experience from social media and if I didn't she would cancel Dante appointment. I've never seen a business manager who, instead of calming down a fire, decides to pour more gasoline on it and I wonder if Ms. Ashley has ever heard about the Federal trade commission and the Consumer Review Fairness Act
