  We came in to look at a point and shoot camera we had researched online. We walked in on a Saturday morning and went to the camera section. We found the one we were looking to buy. We stood there a full 10 minutes, with 4 employees very near by in the area of the laptops. They appeared to be just talking, not helping anyone. Finally I walked over and asked if there was anyone working the camera area. All 4 said they could help. One young man followed me over to the camera section, and asked what I needed. We explained that we had researched the LUMIX camera, and wanted to physically hold it and look at it. He explained that they can’t let people hold the cameras. I pointed to a $2500 camera in the case, and said: “you are telling me, people spend $2500 on a camera and never want to hold it and see how it feels?” He said it was for security reasons. He offered to get “Jonathan” and maybe he could release the camera we wanted to look at. Jonathan came and unlocked the camera we wanted to see, releasing it from the case, but would not take it off the large white “security mount” so we could never actually feel the true weight of the camera or see how easily it fit in a front pocket (a selling feature Panasonic touts). The salesman was right there. He was watching us. Had we of wanted to steal the camera, he could have easily yelled for security to stop us at the front door. Someone could have locked the front door. Instead, we left and decided to not give Best Buy our business. If we can’t hold, look at and manipulate the camera in the store, we might as well give our business to an online store from New York, which is exactly what we came home and did. No wonder they are closing Best Buy stores. Your customer service is mediocre at best……and you have a security problem, that doesn’t allow customers to handle product.

  I went to the Best Buy store in Vero Beach to buy a new Ipad. I waited over an hour and was told rudely that I had to wait my turn. I left. Visiting my parents I tried the Best Buy in Lakeland Florida. 2 Verizon employees helped me and I can’t say enough good about Brandon and his associate “D”. They were professional, helpful, knowledgeable and personable. They were great! I would highly recommend the Best Buy in Lakeland. I did not change over to Verizon yet but now will think about it. Brandon and his counter part need raises!

  I set up a repair for a broken screen, but they could not do it since the screen was completely black. The reason I needed the repair. It was a waste of time taking to them. If they did repair it would have cost 280 dollars just for front screen. I ended up taking it to Mr. Phone Pro they replaced the front screen, back and camera glass for the price best buy was trying to charge just for the front. I am glade they told me they could not fix it made me shop around for someone else that was cheaper and Mr. Phone Pro made the phone look brand new. Do not take your phone here for repairs they are overpriced and if they can make an excuse not to repair the phone they will. So it is a waste of time to even take to best buy.

  Wife and I were shopping for a new tv and Edwin in Lakeland helped us. Edwin is professional and knowledgeable and offered us a few choices according to our budget. We also needed to hire Geek Squad to install it and hide the wires behind the walls. Edwin showed us the cables and items we would need to purchase for the best viewing experience. I am not easy to please especially when spending $3k but Edwin was perfect!

  Disappointing Experience with Best Buy: Damaged Product and Unyielding Customer Service I recently purchased an electronic item from Best Buy, only to discover upon closer inspection that it arrived damaged. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, I exceeded the company’s strict 14-day exchange window. When I approached the in-store customer service team to request an exception—given my history as a loyal customer for over 10+ years—they were entirely unwilling to accommodate my situation. The representatives displayed a noticeable lack of empathy or concern, adhering rigidly to policy without exploring any potential resolutions. This rigid approach has left me profoundly dissatisfied, as it undermines the value of long-term customer relationships. Regrettably, I will no longer patronize Best Buy and recommend that others consider alternative retailers for more flexible and customer-oriented service. 3/11/26 Apple just delivered a replacement for the item in less than a day even though I purchased it at Best Buy. No issues there.
