⚠️ WARNING TO FRIENDS & NEIGHBORS: DO NOT BUY FROM BEST BUY.
I bought an $877 Apple Watch from Best Buy, delivered by FedEx. FedEx made me sign before I could even touch the box. It felt way too light, but I didn’t think much of it in the moment.
My husband opened it later and the box had been cleanly cut open along the edges. The watch was gone. All that was left was the trash from its packaging and a set of directions. Someone helped themselves before it ever reached us.
FedEx says they’re not responsible because Best Buy’s contract shields them from any obligation. Best Buy told us there was “nothing they can do,” even though they never offered an option to purchase any shipping insurance during checkout. So we’re just out $877 because their system leaves customers unprotected while the carrier is conveniently off the hook.
We escalated and spoke with Patricia, who listened just long enough to say, “I’ve done all I can,” before hanging up on us.
This setup is practically an invitation for fraud in transit—no insurance option, no accountability from FedEx, and Best Buy washes their hands of it the second something goes wrong.
If this is how they operate, consider this a warning: do not trust Best Buy with your money. If your package is tampered with or stolen, you’ll be the one paying for it—not them.

The overall order pickup experience was extremely poor.
The wait time was unacceptable, exceeding 15 minutes. I was standing at the pickup area, and though several associates walked past and even entered the pickup bay, they visibly ignored me. They would grab items and leave without acknowledging my presence or saying a single word. It genuinely felt like I was being deliberately overlooked.
I finally had to call the store's main phone number just to get someone to come to the pickup counter. When an associate finally arrived, the interaction was completely dry and unprofessional. Not a single word was exchanged. I showed my ID, and the transaction was completed in silence.
The entire experience felt incredibly cold and rude—it reminded me of the "Soup Nazi" episode from Seinfeld. Customer service was nonexistent. I suggest serious retraining for the staff handling in-store pickups.

We had a horrible experience at the Geek Squad. We made an appointment at 12:40pm specifically since we had a doctors appointment at 1:30pm. We came in 10mins before to check an iphone that isn’t charging. An employee of best buy told us to wait in line. After waiting for 45mins, I saw an older guy walking and wandering around and came up to him. I asked if he worked there, and he very rudely said “yes, why do you think I have the uniform”. I didn’t notice since the logo of the shirt was on the other side. Then I asked about our appointment that was 45mins before to know if we could still be helped. He said they were busy and to just wait in line like everyone else. Extremely rude again. I asked, for future reference, if an appointment was even needed since they didn’t respect our time. He completely ignored the question. After another 10mins he called us and after he ran the diagnostics he said there was nothing he could do and to go to Apple. Not only were we humiliated by “Agent” Ed, disrespectful man; We missed our doctors appointment and left with the same issue we went in for…. This man deserves to be fired. He shouldn’t be talking to clients like that. Horrible experience… would not recommend going to this Best Buy’s Geek Squad.
