For over 30 years, VCA South Dade Animal Hospital has been taking care of pets and their owners in our community. In May 2024, we moved to a 7,500 square foot state-of-the-art facility in order to provide the best care for all our patients. As one of the few animal hospitals in Miami that treats exotics, we have specialized veterinarians and equipment to care for your unique pets. We also offer boarding services for ALL species and are able to meet the specialized needs of all the species that we do see in our facility. We are happy to support our clients with preventive care, a top-of-the-line wellness program, nutrition counseling, basic or advanced dentistry, ultrasound, hands free radiology, and soft tissue surgery.

By far Dr Bairon Madrigal is a top notch Veterinarian, knowledgeable, caring , gentle . Although it is an hour drive , Angel ( my 22 yo Umbrella Cockatoo ) and I will happily travel to the VCA South Dade going forward ! Highly recommend.

The veterinarian Dr. Vicente Danilo Torres communicated in a disrespectful and verbally abusive manner, which was both shocking and inappropriate. I expect professionalism and compassion when trusting someone with my pet’s health, and this standard was not met. Because of this experience, I will not be returning.
- NSNight SeawolfJan 8, 20265.0I searched high and low to find an aquatic Vet and I found doctor Brian Madrigal, who was recommended from another aquatic vet that is in broward county. After being told several times there are no aquatic vets in Dade. County, I found him & what an excellent doctor! Extremely knowledgeable, extremely compassionate. Just a sheer joy to be able to be embraced by honest & intelligent care of my beloved Koi! He is someone who really cares about all types of animals. I took my Koi fish that I rescued from a PetSmart at almost 2 inches, 4 years ago and now almost a foot long-suffering from swim bladder disease. I tried it all, peas, fasting, epsom salt baths, etc. I can't say enough good things about this doctor, the staff and if you have a fish, even a fish is family! Please do not loose hope & take a chance with this doctor! Feel good that you are doing all you can for your pet. Love is great but getting the right medical help is golden.
