I visited this Verizon location to resolve an issue with my phone and process an upgrade. Unfortunately, the experience was dominated by a prolonged and unnecessary sales discussion that prevented my actual service need from being addressed efficiently.
For approximately 45 minutes, I was repeatedly encouraged by Donald Eric to add a fifth line to my family plan — despite clearly stating multiple times that my family of four does not need an additional line and that a projected savings of $3 per month was not relevant to my situation. The conversation became circular and increasingly frustrating, as my stated objective — upgrading my phone and resolving a device issue — was not being prioritized.
I was also told that adding lines is something Verizon wants in order to increase lines in the market, which reinforced the feeling that the interaction was sales-driven rather than customer-focused. I came in for technical support and an upgrade, not plan expansion.
Eventually, I was transferred to another associate who completed the transaction efficiently in about 15 minutes. However, due to the earlier delay and frustration, my original phone issue was not fully resolved. I have since been told the store will not address the remaining problem.
I expect consultative service that aligns with a customer’s stated needs, not persistent upselling after a clear “no.” This experience fell short of that standard.
